Gayfield Park has the closest proximity to the sea of any football ground in Europe and has been home to Arbroath FC since 1925. The Ground had three sides of terracing in addition to the Main Stand on the west side of the pitch. Our photo of the Main Stand shows how the original floodlight pylons were installed at the front of the stand and through the roof. The current Main Stand, opened in 2002, has a unique tripod floodlight arrangement on the roof.
