Blundell Park has been the home of Grimsby Town FC since 1899. The largest stand is the Findus Stand which was opened in 1982 and has a great view of the pitch as well as the Humber Estuary beyond. The centre section of the Main Stand dates from 1901 and was claimed by the club to be the "oldest in the football league;" however, Grimsby Town were relegated out of the football league in 2010 but have come close to returning with appearances in the promotion play-offs for three consecutive seasons to 2014-15.
