Leicester City FC made their home at Filbert Street for 111 years from 1891 until 2002. The most imposing feature of the ground was the south end Spion Kop terrace, more commonly know as the “Double Decker.” The ground was damage during the Second World War and some postwar repair work was done by German POWs. The ground was one of the first to construct luxury boxes. These were added to the Filbert Street Terrace in 1975.
