Springfield Park in Wigan is the former home of Wigan Athletic and was demolished in 1999. The ground once held a banked concrete cycling track but was most famous for the Grassy Bank where there was no terracing for the spectators. The club moved to JJB Stadium for the 1999-2000 season and has played there ever since. JJB Stadium was subsequently renamed to DW stadium in 2009.
