Description
Ninian Park was opened in 1910 as the home of Cardiff City FC and was demolished following the club's move in 2009. It was the last ground above League One to have standing areas for spectators.
Legendary Celtic and Scotland manager Jock Stein passed away at Ninian Park while leading his country to qualification for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. His assistant, Alex Fergusson, took charge for the tournament.
